MORRISTOWN, NJ - The Morris County Sheriff's Office Hope One Team will be hosting a free Narcan Training event for area bartenders and wait staff. The event will take place on August 3, 2020 from 6pm - 7:30pm at Johnnies Tavern, 301 Boonton Avenue in Boonton. The training will take place next door at the Boonton Avenue Firehouse.

"All people who work as bartenders or wait staff for restaurants and eateries are urged to learn the simple act of administering Narcan to save the life of a person suffering an opioid overdose", said the sheriff's office.

All attendees will receive free training as well as one free dose of Nasal Narcan.

The event is free to attend and is open to all bartenders and wait staff personnel in Morris County. Registration is required. To register, email ashurdom@mhaessexmorris.org
