Love Gardening? Become a Volunteer Morris County Master Gardener

MORRISTOWN, NJ - Do you love gardening? Want to help other gardeners with their home gardens? Becoming a Rutgers Master Gardener might just be right for you!

Master Gardeners are trained volunteers who help the New Jersey Agricultural Experiment Station by providing information and programs to the public. Any Morris County resident with an interest in gardening and a commitment to volunteer service can become a Rutgers Master Gardener. The Rutgers Master Gardener program is now accepting applications for the next class which begins in September.

The class will teach how to diagnose common plant and pest problems, appropriate cultural practices and how best to care for home gardens. Once trained, volunteers provide assistance to the residents of Morris County, answering home gardening questions.

For information on the program; visit http://njaes.rutgers.edu/mastergardeners/ or call Dave Los at 973-285-8307
