MORRISTOWN, NJ - The water emergency that asked Morristown, Morris Township, Morris Plains residents to reduce water usage, is now lifted, said the Southeast Morris County Municipal Utilities Authority.
The water utility is reporting that the emergency repairs to the system have been completed and restricted water use is no longer necessary.
Customers may experience cloudy and or discolored water as normal operations resume, they said. If discolored water is observed, the water utility recommends flushing the internal cold water plumbing lines until all faucets run clear. Start at the lowest level of your home or business and working your way up, they advised.
Repeat flushing steps as necessary until the water clears, they recommended.
