MORRISTOWN, NJ - Morristown resident Corinne Russell, a graduate of Kent Place School, was awarded a grant from The Steven Daniel Smallen Memorial Fund at Hamilton College. The Fund is designed to encourage creativity among Hamilton students by providing funds for projects displaying originality, expressiveness, and imagination.

Russell, a senior majoring is literature and philosophy, will use the award for a project in which she will interview women at Hamilton about their experiences reading fiction and publish the results in a self-designed booklet.

Originally founded in 1793 as the Hamilton-Oneida Academy, Hamilton College offers an open curriculum that gives students the freedom to shape their own liberal arts education within a research- and writing-intensive framework. Hamilton enrolls 1,850 students from 49 states and 49 countries.
