Each year TransOptions hosts a Recognition Breakfast, that honors a select group of companies and individuals who have made outstanding contributions by supporting transportation, safety and environmental programs in northwest New Jersey. This year Unity's Jennifer Carcich was selected as their Outstanding Educator, for her work in environmental protection.
Jen has been with Unity Charter School since 2011. She has worked as a lower school teacher, a science teacher, and last year she began work as an academic interventionist. Throughout her time at Unity she has always had an important role as the sustainability coordinator. This role has helped the school continue to work toward the school’s mission of educating children in the principles of sustainability.
Prior to joining Unity Charter School Jen, Co-authored, “It’s Just Good Teaching! Grades Pre-K -2”, “It’s Just Good Teaching! Grades 3-6”. She has also been the recipient of numerous grants which include:
