MORRISTOWN, NJ - The HOPE One traveling addiction recovery van has traveled all over the county and its next stop will be Stop & Shop in Morris Plains.

The Morris Plains Police Department is teaming up with the Morris County Sheriff's Office to host HOPE One on Monday January 8.  The  HOPE One vehicle, which previously was used in police tactical operations is now a mobile recovery access vehicle. The vehicle, which  has trained staff on site, provides individuals with information about rehab, detox services, mental health services, recovery services and free Narcan training. A 24-hour contact number for Morris County CARES is also on the vehicle.

The van, which is decorated with a purple ribbon to signify recovery, will be parked in front of the supermarket from 9am - 2pm on Monday. This new approach aims to deliver a unique way to blend law enforcement and social services in helping to prevent drug overdoses and deaths.
