MORRISTOWN, NJ - Daniel Soler, formerly of Morristown, was sentenced to five years in New Jersey State Prison for sexually assaulting a child, announced Morris County Prosecutor Fredric M. Knapp, Acting Chief of Investigations Christoph Kimker and Acting Morristown Police Chief Darnell Richardson.
The 49-year-old man previously pled guilty to sexual assault after admitting to an act of sexual contact on a child under the age of 13, said police.
According to authorities, Soler must serve a minimum of 51 months of the five-year sentence prior to being eligible for parole. He will also need to register under Megan's Law and have parole supervision for life, they stated. In addition, he was ordered to pay fines and penalties and have no contact with the victim.
