MORRISTOWN, NJ - Morristown Mayor Tim Dougherty provided residents with a daily update on Saturday April 18.  The number of positive COVID-19 cases in Morristown are increasing, which is to be expected, said Mayor Dougherty.

Mayor Dougherty is attributing the increase in numbers to the expanded testing that's going on.

"That will probably keep increasing a little bit each day, and hopefully we will get to a point where it goes the other way", he said.

Residents were again reminded to practice social and physical distancing, wash hands and wear face protection,

"There's a lot of talk about places reopening. You saw in Florida that they opened up a beach and it was pretty crowded", said Dougherty. "We're going to wait and follow the recommendations from our Governor".
