MORRISTOWN, NJ - Morristown Mayor Tim Dougherty provided residents with a daily update on Saturday April 11. 

Mayor Dougherty began by stating that there are new cases of COVID-19. The numbers of positive cases in Morristown are up to 213, he said.

"Now is the time to really, really, really practice our social and physical distancing", Mayor Dougherty reminded everyone."Stay home and if you need to go out, please make sure you wear face protection and wash your hands when you come home".

He asked residents to try to limit their time outside over the next couple of weeks as he believes we will be entering the peak time.

The mayor thanked the first responders and health care workers as well as all the community members who are helping to support the first responders and health care workers.

"There are so many things that different people are doing", said Mayor Dougherty. "I want to thank you all".
