CHATHAM, NJ - Two trucks were issued summonses for mechanical issues and towed away because they were deemed unsafe on Thursday when the New Jersey State Police conducted random inspections on North Passaic Avenue in Chatham.

According to the Chatham Borough Police, "Twenty commercial vehicles were inspected. Twelve of which were issued summonses for being overweight and two vehicles were issued summonses for mechanical violations and had to be towed from the scene because they were unsafe."
