Road Closures in Morris Township For Sunday May 20

MORRIS TOWNSHIP, NJ - Motorists are being advised that there will be road closures and delays on Sunday May 20 due to the Superhero Half Marathon and Relay taking place in town. 

Police are advising that delays may occur between 8:30am and 11:30am on South Street, James Street, Woodland Avenue, Harter Road and Southgate Parkway.

Missed Jury Phone Calls Are Scams; Say Police

MORRIS TOWNSHIP, NJ -   Multiple Morris County residents have reported that they received automated phone calls advising them that they missed jury duty and are required to pay a fine, said the Morris Township Police Department to residents.

Burglary Reported in Morris Township Friday Evening

MORRIS TOWNSHIP, NJ - Police are advising residents of an incident that occurred in the township Friday evening.  According to police, a residence in the Harter Road area reported a burglary on Friday May 4.

The resident reported that the incident took place between 6:45pm and 9pm and that the doors to the home were left unlocked, said police.

EAST HANOVER, N.J.- Local law enforcement, family and friends are joining together to find Amanda Rose Peterson, last seen 48 hours ago at a gas station on Route 46 in Parsippany. Morris Township Home Burglarized; Say Police

MORRIS TOWNSHIP, NJ - A home on Blackwatch Trail in Morris Township was bulglarized this week, said Morris Township Police Chief Mark DiCarlo.

A home in the township was reportedly burglarized on April 17 between the hours of 8:30am and 4:15pm, said police. The homeowner stated that there was forced entry to the rear door.

MORRISTOWN, NJ - A flood watch is in effect for our area and most of New Jersey on Monday.  

Dwyer Lane between Woodland Ave and Fanok Road is closed b due to flooding, police advised on Monday morning.  Speedwell Ave is flooding under the Morris Plains train underpass.

Harter Road, between Route 287 and Darnay Road has been closed by police due to flooding.
