MORRISTOWN, NJ -  This morning a car crashed through a fence into the parking deck at Morristown Medical Center, announced authorities. The driver, a 65 year old man from Parsippany suffered a medical event which ultimately caused the crash, they said.

The man's 2017 Cadillac SUV left the road, crossed a grass embankment and then crashed through a fence into the parking deck.  There was also minor damage to several other parked cars inside the parking deck.

The car was partially hanging over the wall of the parking deck, stated police. Emergency Medical Technicians from Atlantic Health administered first aid while Morristown and Morris Township firefighters stabilized the car. The man was transported to the Emergency Department for evaluation and the car was towed from the scene, said officials.
