MORRIS TOWNSHIP, NJ - During the overnight hours on Tuesday, a vehicle was stolen from Stonehedge Road, said police.

The vehicle was unlocked and the keys were left in the vehicle, they said.

Police are asking all residents to take precautionary measures to prevent being a victim.

"Lock your vehicles and home doors overnight," said Morris Township Police Chief Mark DiCarlo. "Remove valuables and keys from your vehicle."

Anyone who sees anything suspicious is asked to report it right away by calling 911 or 973-539-0777 if the incident occurred in Morris Township.
