MORRISTOWN, NJ —  Several dozen people gathered with their pets in front of the Church of the Redeemer in Morristown for the Annual Blessing of the Animals.

Reverend Cynthia Black, who has been participating in the blessing of the animals for 30 years, officiated. The pets in attendance were blessed as were photos of the ones who had passed away. She explained how there is a 6-week Creation Season and the Blessing of the Animals is one small part of the Creation Season.

“Each year more and more people bring their pets for the blessing", Reverend Black explained.
