MORRISTOWN – The fourth-seeded Morristown High School girls tennis team lost to top-seeded Livingston, 5-0, in the semifinal round of the NJSIAA North Jersey, Section 1, Group 4 tournament on Friday, Oct. 11.
The Colonials dropped to 9-6 on the season. They were on a six-match winning streak following a 3-5 start to the season.
Morristown had previous wins over Union City and Montclair in the state tournament. Morristown’s Maddie Siegel provided the biggest challenge for Livingston in the second singles match. She took Emma Conforti to a first-set tiebreaker, falling 9-7.
Livingston will meet second-seeded Ridgewood in the North 1, Group 4 final.
