ATLANTIC CITY, NJ – Morristown High School sophomore 132-pounder Giovanni Rivera made his way to Atlantic City to compete with the best of the best in the individual state championships in storied Boardwalk Hall.

Rivera was seeded 26th in the 132-pound bracket. He lost to seventh-seeded Jack Nies of Ocean Township in the preliminary round of the tournament.

Then, in the wrestleback first round, Rivera lost to Zack Martinez of Elmwood Park, the 10th seed, by 5-2 decision.
