MORRISTOWN, NJ- The Morristown Colonials improved to 7-3 on the season after a convincing 61-35 victory over Immaculate Conception. These surging Colonials have won 4 of their last 5 games.

Tara O’Neill came out firing in the 1 st quarter, hitting two 3’s, scoring 8 of her 14 points. Morristown took a 17-6 lead after the first quarter and increased their lead in the 2 nd , going into the half up 29-13.

“We weren’t happy with the way we played last time out, we had a chance to do something about it tonight and our girls came out sharp, said head coach Jim Pisciotto. “We had some great looks, and our girls were making the right pass.”

Michaela Lattimore delivered another big game for Jim Pisciotto, finishing with a team-high 15 points and 6 rebounds. The Colonials pulled away even further after a dominant 21-9 3 rd quarter in which Morristown scored basket after basket in transition.

“Michaela did a terrific job tonight setting up our breaks, but I’m more impressed with our next passes that we converted for easy layups, said Pisciotto.

Morristown’s depth showed throughout, as 10 Colonials contributed to the Colonials 61 points. Jariah Patterson led Immaculate Conception with 24 points as the key facilitator.

Morristown will look for another victory on Friday night at home against Chatham, who opened the Colonials season with a loss a month ago.
