MORRISTOWN – The Morristown High School field hockey team earned a 3-0 shutout of Randolph in a rain-filled Wednesday contest.
The Colonials improved to 8-9 on the season and have now won two straight after dropping Somerville, 7-1, on Sept. 12.
Morristown put in two goals in the first half and added a third in the second half. Brittany Hoftijzer put in all three goals and goalie Emily Prachthauser made four saves.
Morristown had a 25-7 advantage in shots on goal. The Colonials will be on the road against Mendham on Oct. 18.
