MORRISTOWN – The ninth-seeded Morristown High School girls soccer team advanced in the Morris County Tournament following a 3-0 shutout of 24th-seeded Morris Catholic in the preliminary round on Saturday afternoon. 

Morgan O’Neill, Katie Duff and Katie McGuinness put in goals for the Colonials. Morristown (3-1-3) awaits the winner of eighth-seeded Mendham and 25th-seeded Morristown-Beard in the next round of the tournament. Mendham and Morristown-Beard will play on Sunday. 

The Colonials have not lost since the season opener against Randolph.
