MORRISTOWN, NJ- The boys’ basketball team currently sits at 5-15 on the season, thus earning them the 15 th seed in the North Jersey Section 1 Group 4 State Playoff.

The Colonials started off the season 0-4 before racking up two wins over Koinonia and Chatham. Morristown was 3-9 heading into an opening round Morris County Tournament matchup against Whippany Park in which the Colonials were bounced in the first round.

Morristown picked up late season wins over Morristown Beard and Brearley to bring their win total to 5.

Under first year head coach Mike Serra, and a senior-led lineup, the Colonials will have their hands full in their opening round matchup against 2 nd seeded East Orange, who are 21-2 this season.

That matchup is next Tuesday at East Orange.
