MORRISTOWN – For the Morristown High School boys soccer team, the goal is to continue to build. The Colonials are working to get on the winning side of things after last year’s 5-12-1 record.
“Our goal this year is to continue building from where we left off at the end of last year,” said second-year head coach Diego Salas. “Being competitive against other strong teams in the county and ending the season with record that gets us into the state tournament are some of our goals. Our biggest strength is our commitment to getting better, working hard and working as a strong unit.”
Morristown lost a 2-0 contest to Montclair in the first round of the NJSIAA North Jersey, Section 1, Group 4 tournament a season ago. Salas said an emphasis early on in summer preparations is “fitness and movement as a team.”
