MORRISTOWN – The Morristown High School boys soccer team opened the 2019campaign with a clean sheet, shutting out Mendham, 3-0, on Thursday, Sept. 5.

The Colonials put in two second-half goals en route to shutting out the 2017 Group 3 state champions. Diego Izaguiree, Charlie Waggoner and Conor Tierney found the back of the net for Morristown. Goalie Jonathan Nicholson made six saves in the shutout.

The victory should give Morristown, a team in search for its first winning season since 2016, some strong confidence moving forward.
