BOONTON, NJ- The Colonials dropped a close one to Boonton Wednesday afternoon at Boonton High School by a score of 1-0. The game was scoreless until Lorraine Clark broke the tie midway through the 2 nd half.

Despite a scoreless 1 st half, the Colonials outplayed Boonton, dominating most of the attacking possession and nearly finding the opening goal. Morristown were denied on the goal line by Clark, to keep the game tied.

“I felt our team never mentally got back into the game after the goal,” said coach Katherine DiBiasse. “We need to be able to get back into that attacking mindset right away.”

Offense has been tough to come by for Morristown early on in 2019. Through 6 games, the Colonials have scored 4 goals, and have been shutout in 3 of those games.

“I like the creativity of our girls on offense and they are great at passing to one another, but sometimes you got to just shoot to create more opportunities for everyone,” said coach DiBiasse.

Morristown falls to 2-4 on the season, while Boonton moved to 4-1-1. The Colonials next game is Friday against Chatham.
