MORRISTOWN – The Morristown High School football closed out the 2019 season with a regional crossover game at Livingston on Thursday night.
On a chilly Thursday evening, the Colonials fell to the Lancers, 35-20. Morristown struck first for a 6-0 lead following a Livingston fumble on the opening kickoff return. The Lancers scored 14 unanswered on two touchdown passes to make it 14-6 late in the first quarter.
Morristown made it a 14-12 halftime deficit following a TD late in the second quarter.
A 20-yard strike gave Livingston a 21-12 lead in the third quarter. Livingston scored two more TDs to lead 35-12 before a late score for Morristown followed by the two-point conversion.
Morristown concludes the season with a 2-7 record. Livingston finished with a 4-6 mark, winning the last two games of the season.
