MORRISTOWN, NJ – The eighth-seeded Morristown High School girls basketball team defeated 25th-seeded Parsippany; 57-17 in the preliminary round of the Morris County Tournament on Saturday night in Morristown. After winning the tip off, Tara O'Neill sunk a 3 to start the scoring for the colonials (see the shot below)

The Colonials led 30-13 at the half and didn't let up.  The Colonials advanced to play ninth-seeded Morris Catholic in the first round on Saturday, Feb. 8.

Morristown improved to 9-5 on the season, winning its second straight. Parsippany dropped to 1-13.
