MORRISTOWN, NJ- After a 13-7 season to date, the Morristown Colonials girls’ basketball team earned the 4 th seed in the North Jersey Section 1 Group 4 State playoff.

The Colonials advanced to the Morris County Tournament quarterfinals and fell for the 2 nd time this season to unbeaten Montville.

After a season opening loss to Chatham, the Colonials swept the Lady Knights Showcase with wins over Hillside, Newark Tech and Patterson Kennedy.

The Colonials sit comfortably in 3 rd place in the American division, behind both Montville and Chatham, who’ve combined Morristown are 0-4 against.

The 4 th seeded Colonials matchup against Passaic Tech in the first round next Tuesday at Morristown High School.
