MORRISTOWN, NJ - Morristown High School is added another sport to their winter season; bowling.

"The interest in the team was tremendous", said coach and MHS teacher Angel Cora.

The large number of interested students allowed for the school to create a team of 6 varsity and 8 jv players spanning all grades. There is also a unified team that practices with the team on Mondays and Fridays. The team plays and practices at Rockaway Bowling lanes in Rockaway.

Although the team fell to Delbarton on Tuesday November 11, Coach Cora saw great improvements. Sophomore Matteo Matalon bowled a 180 which was his highest game bowling ever and fellow sophomore Luke Chilson maintained his average in the 140's, said Cora. JV bowler, Jamie Horton consistently bowled in the 100's, which was a forty point improvement since the beginning of practices.

"Overall the team is coming together and I look forward to some great things in the future", said Cora.

Future matches for the Colonials include Chatham and Morris Hills.
