MORRISTOWN, NJ – A number of Morristown High School teams were in action on Thursday, Dec. 19.

Ice Hockey - Morristown improved to 2-1-1 following a 3-0 shutout of Madison Thursday night at Mennen Sports Arena. Fresh off the first win of the season against Vernon, the Colonials kept the momentum going as goalie Dylan Peck recorded his first career shutout. Morristown led 2-0 after two periods and augmented its lead after Harry Santen’s goal in the third.

Boys Swimming - Morristown lost a meet to Chatham, 116-54, on Thursday. The Colonials (1-3) had wins from Owen Genrich in the 200 freestyle (1:52.65) and Dennis Delargy in the 200 individual medley and 100 freestyle (0:50.43). The group of Delargy, Genrich, Mike O’Kane and Kieran Hyland led the 200 freestyle relay (1:33.68).

Girls Swimming - Morristown lost its meet of the season in a 94.5-75.5 defeat to Chatham on Thursday. For the Colonials, Molly Webber placed first in the 200 freestyle (1:52.61) and 100 butterfly (0:58.24), Grace Miller took first in the 200 individual medley (2:05.35) and 500 freestyle (5:03.97), Annalise Webber took first in the 50 freestyle (24.250) and 100 freestyle (0:53.63) and Annalise Webber, Molly Webber, Miller and Jill Rosenfeld led the 200 freestyle (1:39.06). Annalise and Molly Webber, Miller and Ella Sparacino finished in 3:39.01 in the 400 freestyle relay.

Fencing - The Morristown boys and girls fencing teams lost to Morris Hills in the season opener on Thursday night.

Bowling - Morristown fell to Montville, 7-0, at Rockaway Lanes.
