MORRISTOWN, NJ – Second-year Morristown High School girls volleyball head coach Rita Costigan is expecting a good season out of her group.

“We’ve been able to build from last year and our preseason has been a good time for skill building,” said Costigan. “We’ve been working on serve receive and point conversion.”

Six starters return this year for Morristown, four of whom are seniors. Senior middle hitters Olivia Cheren and Caroline Marion, senior libero Hannah Pfahler, senior outside
hitter Sophia Wawrzyniack, sophomore outside hitter Brook Atkins and sophomore setter Sydney Rossiter will lead the Colonials and bring experience.

The main goal for the team, according to Costigan, is to play to potential.

“We are looking forward to being competitive in our conference and within the county,” the coach said. “A good season would be for us to play competitively, earn some wins
and qualify for states this year.”
