MORRISTOWN, NJ- Morristown Girls lacrosse, the 5th ranked team in New Jersey picked up another win on Saturday defeating Hun 17-6. In doing so, Vanderbilt commit, Callie Sundin scored 6 goals and an assist becoming Morristown’s all-time leader in points at 362 points passing Allie Ferrara.
In addition to Sundin’s milestone, Nicole Ferrara had a 17-point game recording 7 goals and 10 assists in Morristown’s win.
Annika Begley had 2 goals and Katie Siverson finished with a goal and an assist while goalie Katherine Baskin allowed 3 goals making 4 saves on the day.
With the win the Colonials improved to 12-6 on the season as the state playoffs loom for Evan Mager’s side, while Hun drops to 7-10.
Morristown would like to add more silverware to their season after just recently winning the Morris County title last week. The Colonials have secured the No. 3 seed in the State Tournament and will face the winner of No. 11 Bergen Tech vs. No. 6 Morris Knolls.
While the girls team took care of business, things weren’t the same for the boy’s team as they dropped to 4-12 on the year falling to Randolph 7-5.
They will look to snap a 5 game losing streak on Monday against Caldwell and end the season on a high note.
