MORRISTOWN, NJ - Temple B'nai Or is inviting the community to meet the artists of the Summer Art Show.
Artists Oscar Beck and Carol Johnson will be at the Linda Grandis Blatt Gallery of Temple B'nai Or for an opening reception of their works on Friday June 22. Guests are invited from 5 - 6:30pm. The exhibition runs through August 30.
Beck uses graphite pencil to express himself, stated a press release provided by the Temple. His remarkably rendered realistic drawings are meticulously worked, creating nuance and subtlety, they said.
Johnson creates landscapes and seascapes from photographs she takes when she travels. She studied the art of landscape over the past 35 years. She is currently studying with Elenor Morehouse. According to the press release her work has been infuled by classes taken in Italy using egg tempera and water color, with Fred Wessel and Jeremiah Paterson of the Hartford Art School.
