MORRISTOWN, NJ -  Grab your red, white and blue and celebrate the brave men and women have sacrificed their lives to preserve our freedom. There are several commemorations, parades and events planned in Morristown to honor them this Memorial Day.

On Saturday May 26, a memorial service and parade will take place in Morris Plains. The memorial service will take place at 9am at Robert's Gardens on the corner of Glenbrook Road and Mountain Way. Immediately following the service (around 9:30am) the parade will begin. The parade will make its way and end at the VFW Watnong Post 3401 on Route 53.

On Monday May 28, a parade will take place in Morris Township. The parade will begin at 10:30am in front of the Morris Township Municipal Building. From there the parade will make its way to the Morristown Green where an observance will be held. Immediately after the commemoration, The Original Music Fest will take place at Ginty Field. Sponsored by the Rotary Club of Morristown, The Original Music School and The Morris Township Parks & Rec Department, the day will feature live bands, games, activities and food trucks.
