WESTFIELD, NJ - Downtown Westfield’s award-winning French bistro Amuse, owned by renowned chef C.J. Reycraft, will be playing host to a special VIVRI tasting event on June 13 from 6 to 9 p.m.
During the event for the nutritional products line, the popular dining establishment will feature appearances from leading sports figures, including Super Bowl XLI champion Darrell Reid, formerly of the Indianapolis Colts and the Denver Broncos, and NFL wide receiver Tavarres King of the New York Giants. Also making an appearance at the event will be Mike McGill of TLC’s hit reality series “Single Dad Seeking.”
Reid, a New Jersey native, grew up in Freehold Borough and went on to help the Colts win Super Bowl XLI in 2007 against the Chicago Bears. He was then signed to a three-year, $2 million contract with the Broncos in 2009. He is also the founder of the Footz Foundation, a charitable organization that helps to educate, empower and inspire youth to believe and achieve their goals – and partners with a variety of programs that provide opportunities for leadership development and academic achievement, enabling youth to positively impact their family, school and community.
Raised in Mount Airy, Georgia, King has been an integral part of five major football teams over the past three years, including the Denver Broncos, Carolina Panthers, Jacksonville Jaguars, Tampa Bay Buccaneers and currently, the New York Giants.
“Single Dad Seeking” follows five single fathers, including McGill, working hard to give their children the best lives. Like Reid, McGill is also a Freehold Borough, New Jersey native, who now lives in Orlando, FL.
The tasting event will feature free samplings of VIVRI products, in addition to giveaways. VIVRI is complete nutritional system delivering all the nourishment your body needs in a single shake.
Launched just two years ago, Amuse has gone on to quickly become one of New Jersey’s most talked-about new restaurants. Reycraft, its head chef and creator, recently appeared on Fox 5’s Good Day New York to talk about his recent culinary honor as one of only three American chefs to be named a Leading Chef of the Future by the International Academy of Gastronomy.
The free event is open to everyone. Amuse is located at 39 Elm Street, Downtown Westfield.
