The League of Women Voters of Berkeley Heights, New Providence & Summit will be celebrating the 100th Anniversary of the founding of the League of Women Voters as well as the 100th Anniversary of the passage of the 19th Amendment to the Constitution (Women's Right to Vote) in a series of programs for 2020. The first program in the 2020 series is being co-sponsored by the Summit College Club (AAUW) and the New Providence Memorial Library. The public is invited to view the movie Toni Morrison: The Pieces I Am. The program will be held on Sunday, January, 19th at 1:30 pm at the New Providence Memorial Library in the Conti Reading Room.
Ms. Morrison past away last year. This movie is an artful and intimate meditation on the legendary storyteller. It examines her life, her works and the powerful themes she confronted throughout her literary career. A discussion /Q&A will follow.
