Boys Soccer: Benevento, Kelly Goals Lead Johnson Crusaders Over Governor Livingston HS

CLARK, NJ-  Arthur L. Johnson Crusaders did the same thing, scored two goals in the second half to defeat the Highlanders by a final score of 2-0 Tuesday afternoon in Clark.

Senior Joe Benevento scored his second goal of the season, while junior Will Kelly tallied his third goal of the season for the Crusaders in the win.

Senior and co-captain Greg Zukowski added an assist in the victory for the Crusaders.

Junior goaltender Andrew Kehrle recorded a shutout, stopping all eight Highlanders shot in the win.

For Governor Livingston, junior goaltender Andre Perez-Santalla stopped seven of nine Crusaders shots in the loss.

The Johnson Crusaders (7-5) will face off at home against Summit HS Thursday afternoon at 4:00 p.m.

The Governor Livingston Highlanders (5-4-1) head back home and will take on Summit HS in the Union County Tournament Quarterfinals Saturday morning at 10:00 a.m.
