MOUNTAINSIDE, NJ - A new flag will be flying in time for Memorial Day at the Mountainside Public Library thanks to Congressman Leonard Lance, who presented the flag on Monday, April 25.

Lance presented the flag to Lynn Favreau, Mountainside Library Director along with Mayor Paul Mirabelli and a small crowd that included Councilman Glenn Mortimer, Councilwoman Wendy Fech Caccamo, Mountainside Rotarians, Library Trustees and Friends of the Library.

When Councilman Glenn Mortimer, a Council Liaison to the Library Board, advised Lance of the need for a new flag, he was happy to deliver a replacement to be hung in time for the Memorial Day Parade. The annual parade and festivities kicks off outside the library at Constitution Plaza through the support of the Mountainside Rotary Club and other organizations.
