Downtown Westfield Roads to Close for Spring Fling Sunday

WESTFIELD, NJ — More than 30 vendors and over 30,000 people are expected to take over the streets Downtown Westfield for the Greater Westfield Area Chamber of Commerce’s 22nd Annual Spring Fling street fair this Sunday, May 1.

The GWACC announced that the following streets will be closed to vehicular traffic on Sunday morning beginning at 6 a.m.: East Broad Street from North Avenue to Central Avenue, Quimby Street, Elm Street from North Avenue to the Texaco Station, and Prospect Street from North Avenue to Ferris Place.

Parking is prohibited on the streets in the Spring Fling area all day Sunday. The GWACC recommended that downtown businesses in the area advise employees to park in the South Avenue train station lot for the day and that downtown residents should park in municipal lots, out of the Spring Fling area.

The chamber encouraged Spring Fling attendees to park in the South Avenue train station parking lot. 

The street fair will take place from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., rain or shine.
