Family Christmas Celebration at Willow Grove Church

SCOTCH PLAINS, NJ -- The community is invited to enjoy relaxed time with family and people of all ages at the annual Family Christmas Celebration – Preparing our Hearts and Homes for Christmas Event at Willow Grove Presbyterian Church on Sunday, Dec. 4.

The event takes place from 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. following the 10:00 am worship service. Children and adults can make handmade Christmas cards, decorate gingerbread houses, sing Christmas carols, take photos with special Christmas props, decorate cookies, and make ornaments. It is a time to prepare our hearts and home for Jesus’ birth. In addition to the many activities offered, there will be a lunch of sloppy joes, chips, carrots and cookies. 

The cost is $5.00 per person or $15.00 per family for supplies and lunch.

In addition to activities, there will be catalogs and gift cards available for alternative gifts. People may look through or take copies of the catalogs to give a donation to a non-profit organization that is working to end hunger, poverty and homelessness.  Catalogs and gift cards will include Heifer Project International and Family Promise of Union County.

Willow Grove Presbyterian Church (PCUSA) is located at 1961 Raritan Road, Scotch Plains, across the street from the Southside firehouse and soccer field.  There is ample on-site parking and all facilities are handicap accessible.
