“Too Much Stuff: Dealing With Clutter”

“Too Much Stuff: Dealing With Clutter”, will be the featured program for seniors on Tuesday, July 10th , 11:30 AM at the Senior Resource Center at the Lavy House, 748 E. Broad Street, Westfield, NJ, presented by  Laverne S. Williams, CSW, Director of the PEWS (Promoting Wellness & Spirituality) Program, Mental Health Association of NJ. Clutter can clog the smooth workings of any home, imposing heavy cost on the people living there.  Things get easily lost in the piles, and safety becomes an issue. Join us as we discuss how to clear your clutter.

  A light lunch will be served. Kosher Dietary laws observed.  Registration is recommended if you plan to attend.  info@jfscentralnj.org, 908-352-8375.

Memory Café To Take Place Tuesday, July 24th, 2018

The Memory Café at the Lavy House will take place on Tuesday, July 24th  , 12:00 PM- 2 PM.  The Memory Café program provides a casual time to enjoy lunch, social activities, and entertainment for individuals with early to moderate Alzheimer’s Disease/Dementia, and their care partners.  It is open, free of charge, to Alzheimer’s/Dementia caregivers in the community and their loved ones. A light lunch will be served.  Kosher Dietary laws observed.  Registration is required by calling Naomi Kreutzer, 908-352-8375.  Space is limited.

The Senior Resource Center at The Lavy House is a joint venture between  Jewish Family Service of Central NJ, Temple Emanu-El of Westfield, and The Westfield United Fund.  Through a grant from the Jewish Community Foundation of Greater MetroWest NJ, Jewish Family Service of Central NJ provides programming and the services of Social Worker Naomi Kreutzer, MSW, LCSW, each Tuesday.  Programs are free of charge and open to the entire community.
