Girl Scouts Visit Mountainside Rotary Club

MOUNTAINSIDE, NJ - The Mountainside Rotary Club had the pleasure of having two guest speakers from the Girl Scouts Heart of NJ. Stephanie Quinton, Membership Specialist and Daisha Gaines, Community Engagement Specialist were the speakers. The program was extremely informative and the Rotary and Girl Scouts look forward to partnering on projects to benefit Mountainside.

About Mountainside Rotary Club: The Mountainside Rotary Club was established in 1961. The Mountainside Rotary Club constructed the bus shelter on Route 22 in front of the Municipal Building. The Club has provided college scholarships to Mountainside resident H.S. graduates, leadership training to selected students, distributed dictionaries and thesauruses for grade school children, purchased computers for the schools and much, much more. With other Clubs in a joint project, the Mountainside Rotary Club provided funds for libraries to be built in Nepal. Members have supported the funding of successful sustainable improvements to the infrastructure, water quality, sanitation and education in parts of Ecuador.
