Live Band announced for event

The GL Baseball Program, lead by Head Coach Chris Roof, is reaching out to the Berkeley Heights and Mountainside youth baseball programs as well as the public to invite them to participate in the 5th Annual Baseball Gala on Saturday, February 8th at the Primavera in Stirling.

The Governor Livingston baseball team wrapped up the decade as the winningest program in Union County.  Much of this success can be attributed to strong youth programs that begin their training embodying many of the same skill sets that are practiced in the High School program.  Once again, the Gala will feature a silent auction where one of the items is Bat Boy for a Varsity Game.  Offered last year, this opportunity was a huge success and put future Highlander hopefuls in the dugout with the Varsity team and coaches for a home game of their choosing.

Additionally, it was announced that the Gala would feature live entertainment by Ray Andersen and The First Verse.  Most recently, Ray finished up his Bowie & Beyond Tribute Show to David Bowie with rave reviews at the Jersey Shore.  (http://mrray.com/rayandersenbio) Ray has played in Meat Loaf’s band as well as Cats On A Smooth Surface [where they were often joined by Bruce Springsteen].

Cost is $100 per person and includes an open bar and a silent auction which will feature many new items and unique trips.
