BERKELEY HEIGHTS, NJ - The Highlander Band of Governor Livingston High School will host this year’s 46th annual “Pageant of Champions” band tournament on Sunday, Oct. 15th beginning at 12:00 pm. This year there will be twelve high school marching bands from across New Jersey performing in this competition. The family-friendly event will feature hot food including the famous Mac & Cheese and Highlander Chili, snacks, baked goods and souvenirs.

Under the direction of Nicholas O’Sullivan, the Highlander Band will be performing their 2017 field show “Outside the Bachs”.  At the band pageant, students perform intricate field maneuvers while they play concert-quality music. Audience members of all ages are entertained by the music, colorful uniforms and intriguing themes, while cheering on high school students at their best.

The entrance fee for the Pageant of Champions is $10 for adults, $5 for ages 6-12, and children under 6 are admitted free. Berkeley Heights and Mountainside students wearing School Spirit clothing and Scouts in uniform get in free.

Governor Livingston High School is located at 175 Watchung Blvd., Berkeley Heights. Additional parking is available at Nokia (Bell Labs) off of Glenside Road where shuttle-bus service is available. Handicapped parking is available at the high school.
