- Outstanding Achievement in Live or Original Music;

- Outstanding Achievement in Stage Direction - Joe Elefante

- Outstanding Performance by a Lead Actress in a Comedy - Gabby Perez

- Outstanding Achievement by an Acting Ensemble of a Comedy (both casts combined)

Joe Elefante, vocal director of the production, said, “The sheer number of nominations this year is a testament to what an incredible job these students did putting this show together."

The high school sent a large group of cast and crew to the awards ceremony. Out of the 75 schools who were eligible for awards, Suite Surrender’s entire stage crew and both full casts were nominated as complete units. Elefante said, “That fact befits this unique and exceptional community of young people” for which he is an advisor.

He added it was a “real thrill” to hear the school’s name announced six times during the award ceremony, as was “Hearing Gabby Perez’s name read by living Broadway legend Sutton Foster for ‘Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy.’”

The Red and Blue casts, each performed two shows. The Red cast opened the run Thursday, Nov. 16, and closed it at the 7:30 p.m. performance on Saturday, Nov. 18. The Blue cast performed on Friday, Nov. 17 and the Saturday, Nov. 18, matinee.
