International Folksinger Daria Performs at Springfield Free Public Library Thursday

SPRINGFIELD, NJ – The Springfield Free Public Library hosts a very special music program Thursday afternoon. It is called “World Music for Children” and features the music of Daria and her program will “Travel around the World in Song, celebrating The New Year!” - according to the library’s website.  There it suggests participants “Wear your party clothes and play music.  Arrive at 2:30 p.m. to make your own rattle.” 

The program is presented by Daria.  She has been performing for over twenty years and is considered an internationally known folk singer.  According to her biography, she has been called “an ambassador of song”, has released several CDs and will play music from around the world.

On amazon.com, a reviewer of her CD, “Jadda Jadda Jing Jing Jing!”, gave it five stars and said ,”This is a really fun CD.  Kids love the catchy music and words.  I especially like the recycling message in “Whole World in Your Hands”.  Kids don’t realize they are learning important concepts.”
