Sharon Artz, JCC Special Needs Committee Co-chair, describes how this event came together.

"Based on their personal experiences of raising special needs children, JCC parents joined together to provide valuable resources for professional referrals and activities, both self-contained and inclusive, for other families with special needs," Artz said. "This fair is about families helping families to build a strong sense of community and work together to create meaningful, enriched lives for our special needs children."

In the enrichment/recreation field, there will be representatives who will share information on recreational programming, camp, robotics, and inclusion programs. Therapy vendors include direct instruction, art therapy, adaptive yoga, executive functioning and much more.

A wide variety of other resource vendors who either specialize in or have a focus on special needs will be present including attorneys, financial advisors and religious institutions.

"The JCC is about helping families – all types, all issues. We excel in the special needs arena, and this event will help bring much needed support to those families in need,” said JCC Special Needs Committee co-chair Stuart Fuchsman.

Throughout the morning, there will be live demonstrations provided by several of the vendors.  Snacks will be available throughout the fair, and food will be available for purchase at the JCC Café.
