Candidate Statements

Jordan Hyman and Mauro Wolfe, Candidates for Board of Education

Board of Education Candidates Jordan Hyman and Mauro Wolfe.

Dear fellow Mountainsiders,

As we enter the home stretch towards Election Day 2015,  we felt it was important to send you one final note with a simple message: THANK YOU.

We have said from the first day we decided to run for Mountainside BOE that this was never about us or our agenda or past accomplishments. It was always--and will always--be about your ideas, your concerns, your questions. That is the appropriate role for elected officials -- to represent ALL the voices of Mountainside.

As we have moved around town the last 100 days to meet with many of you in homes and restaurants and parks and churches, it's been rewarding to hear deep passion for Mountainside. It has benefited us tremendously as candidates to learn from your experiences in this great Borough.

When you head to the polls next week, we ask that you ignore the diversions and focus instead on what matters most – the quality of our kids’ education. If you think that we can improve student achievement, and if you like the idea of having a fresh burst of ideas and energy representing you and your children on the BOE, we are your candidates.

We are raring to go to with a list of BOE action items, many culled from your own ideas. We need your vote now to turn those ideas into reality.

With gratitude and optimism,

Jordan and Mauro
