MOUNTAINSIDE, NJ – Members of the Mountainside Active Retirees Club (MAR) recently toured Drumthwacket, the official residence of the governor.
After the tour, the bus took the club members and their guests to Sebastian’s Schnitzelhaus in Wrightstown where they enjoyed a German lunch.
Group members raised their glasses in good cheer for the company they kept that day and for the hope for tomorrows as nice as that days.
The club held its closing meeting at Grillestone Restaurant on May 23. Meetings will resume in September, with Mountainside Mayor Paul Mirabelli as its guest speaker.
Since 1983 MAR has been meeting on the second and fourth Tuesdays of the month. Meetings start at 10 a.m. The group always has a speaker, coffee, and sweets. Membership in the group is open to all retirees, partial retirees, and wanta-be retirees, 55 and above. For more information about MAR, contact Ellie at 908-232-4399
