LITTLE FALLS, NJ -- Personal Chef Nicolle Walker recently appeared on TAPintoTV’s Sunday morning TV program on News 12 Plus, to update host Stephanie Willoughby on her evolving business operations, which had to be adapted due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Walker’s prior business model included working in people’s homes, as she and her staff cooked meals for busy families or for those who needed to adhere to particular diets. As the pandemic took hold in New Jersey, she stopped going to people’s homes for the safety of her staff, customers and herself. But, she realized that there were still people who needed to be fed.
So Walker and her team began to focus on feeding the essential workers who were still reporting to work during the pandemic in her town of Bloomfield. “It allowed me to keep feeding people, which is my passion, keep busy and also do something good,” she said.
Indeed, Walker plans to continue some of her pandemic programs even once normal business operations are allowed to resume in New Jersey. She is working on creating a nonprofit arm of her business based on “the idea that food is a right, not a privilege, and that everybody deserves to have good, clean, wholesome, natural food,” she said.
