Mylestone Equine Rescue’s annual Open House, was held Oct. 15 at their farm in Pohatcong, N.J.
Rescued horses and ponies, some tiny, like Misty, a miniature horse, to the extra large, Scout, greeted people as volunteers shared their stories.
Visitors bid on a large array of baskets all donated to the silent auction with all proceeds benefitting the rescue.
The event also helps hungry people too as guests were asked to bring one or more cans of soup to be brought to a local food pantry. By the end of the afternoon donations were stacked high.
Mylestone, is New Jersey’s oldest all-breed horse rescue, founded in 1994. Learn more at mylestone.org.
