SPRINGFIELD, NJ - The Springfield Free Public Library is bringing back Silk City, an acoustic bluegrass band with it says is “…a sound as unique as its repertoire” for a return visit.
The performance is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Sunday, December 3. It will take place in the library's Palmer Museum.
Members of the band include Barry MItterhoff on mandolin, Danny Weiss on guitar and vocals, and the North Carolina “roots” sound of Mary Olive’s vocals. This performance will also feature special guest Tom Wise on bass.
In addition to bluegrass, the band’s playlist will include Honky Tonk, Roots/Country, Western Swing and some original music. More information about Silk City can be found at www.dannyweiss.com/silkcity.html
